Default Summit Racing ~ Air intakes!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know which knock off 14"x3" Round Air Cleaner will fit a 96 Dodge dakota 5.2L V8? I want an air intake but I don't won't to pay the 150$ for the K&N. I have seen them at the Summit website for under 50$. What other hardware do I need for one to work?

Thanks

I'm actually thinking of the same thing. I work for PepBoys and they sell a few different options. One is made by Holley, and two others by Edelbrock. One of the Edelbrock ones is aluminum and is very nice. Or there is the Mopar Performance one that I have seen around. I think any would work as long as the filter it's self isn't too tall. That you may have to get from K&N.

I ordered one from summit a couple nights ago. Im going to have to make the "s" bolt though. I measured 5" across the throttle body and every Round Air cleaner I seen said they fit a 5 1/8" flange so I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Thanks for everyones help

Post up the link of the one you bought!

If I remember right the few who bought the universal ones had to make a dent on the bottom side due to the AC bracket or something in the way. The bottom flange is not long enough to clear on the universal ones.

For me I got the K&N direct fit one. It clears perfectly.
