I have 95 dodge dakota 3.9L magnum reg cab 2wd. i need to know what type of transmission is in it im looking to rebuild it

You either have a 42rh (a500) if auto or an AX-15 if manual.

The 42rh is a dodge transmission, the ax-15 is made by a company called Aisin Warner and is most commonly found in jeeps.
