Default orienting orifice tube

Someone please tell me how to orient the orifice tube in a 94 Dakota, 3.9.
This one is in the outlet stub of the condenser.
As I understand it the short end is typically inserted first, leaving the long end with the tabs where they can be reached with the extraction tool. That would work fine and agree with the flow arrow if placement were at the evaparator.
With placement at the condensor, inserting the short end first makes the flow arrow backwards.
I have spent several hours trying to find clarification on this to no avail. Does anyone know for sure which way it goes?

How was your old Orifice tube oriented? From your description it sounds like the short end first, with the extraction tab on the outside. Maybe your getting confused with the arrow. Maybe its not a flow arrow but an installation arrow.
