Default Transmission question

Okay, had the rubber hose that connects the cooler to the transmission steel line split...fluid everywhere.
Fixed the hose, refilled with ATF+4...all looks good. Till today.
Headed for work and the truck is hesitant to shift, and feels like it wont go into overdrive. Plus the truck will not start in park, sometimes it does, sometimes it does not.
Once it warms up it gets better. Found that when I hit the highway ramp, if I run it up, then shift into "N" then back to drive, I get overdrive again. But after a run to work, it feels like its stuck in 2nd. Then while sitting there,at the lights, you get a subtle bump, like when the car shifts under light throttle, and I now have 1st.
After some reading it appears to be a "TV cable" thing. All my vehicles are either manual or fully electronic controlled. I have no idea about this cable. is this a easy fix/adjustment?
As a after thought....I also noticed that the throttle has a point where it feels like a throttle stop, and I have to punch thru to get it to free up.
Yet when I go under the hood, and work it manually, no stick...have a feeling its this cable........

First thing. Is the fluid at the correct level? And is clean?

When you blew the line did you run the transmission dry (Did it stop moving)? If you did burn it up then that is one possibility.

The TV cable does not control OD. It can affect the shifts 1-3.

With OD problems you may want to start looking at your electrical systems.

No did not run dry, once into park, no fluid, drive we had fluid. Levels are all good, clean and fresh. Thing is from what I read, the PCM will not allow OD to work without a 2-3 shift within certain parameters. Without a 2-3 shift I would not get OD. So if the linage and the TV were out of adjustment, I would not get the correct 2-3. Or am I missing something here?
Once she warms up a bit, the shifting is not a problem, but there still is the physical binding in the throttle....going to have to take a closer look at all the cables and linkage and the safety switch.

Here is the diagnosis chart from the FSM. Hopefully you'll find some useful info on it...

check your detemp cable (not sure if i speld it right)
my truck did this same thing and felt like i was starting from 2nd gear from a stop and i got underneth and looked on the driver side and one of the liknkages was undone. i put it back together and not a broblem there after but it will be a solid bar that goes from your throttle linkage to your trany and will be right next to the shifte linkage on an auto trany not sure if all trucks are the same but mine is a 3.9 v6

fox87...yah its a TV cable on my truck, goes by various names...its adjustable from what I have read...so going to start easy and go from there. Filter has been changed, figure next will be the VSS and Park/neutral switch and any other linkage before I start messing with the band adjustments and if all else.....bust the thing open and go thru it...if it comes to that I will just re-build it.

Check your TPS for a dead spot mine was doing the same thing erratically until I changed that.

I got bubbles in my tranny!!!!??? Looks like the noob at the garage overfilled the transmission. Fluid id over the line and has bubbles in it, on the dip stick...going to have to figure a way to drain some of it out.

Too much fluid is something I have done myself, had to disconnect the cooling line at the radiator to drain some....

Well drained fluid..run her around the block a couple times to get a proper reading...all was good...then all hell broke loose.
Came down the back road, stomped on the gas and she stood up and hauled ***...got to love it. All was looking great...then I took my foot off the gas...and a noise like a steel bar in a fan come ripping from what sounded like the passenger dash area. Thru it into neutral and the noise stopped. Shut it down went looking for broken stuff or leaks...nothing. Fired her up and headed home slowly...all seemed okay...thing is I can almost repeat it when ever I want...accelerate and lift off the throttle...the rattle comes back..but I have to be doing over 50 km per hour.
I am really getting annoyed by this, as to me it sounds like the converter area.
