As of about a month ago, my fuel gauge needle has been wiggling back in forth around the real fuel level... And not like the regular fuel sloshing back and forth causing this.

This seems like it is an electrical problem of some sort, but I haven't done anything with the electrical in my system for a long while.

Any tips on where to start?

your float could have a bad connection. mine did that and all i did was pull the pump out of the tank and cleaned it off, good as new.
