tire question

a friend of mine bought some tires and rims off this guy for 300 the rims are 6 lug from a chevy and are the mojave and thats what he wanted off of it but on them are 315/75r16 he is willing to sell them to me for 50 bucks what all will i need to do to get these to fit on my truck

The chevy 6 lug is different from our retarded 6 lug pattern, so you would need wheel adapters to make the wheels work. And as for the tires... you're pushing into the too wide to fit with a 315. I had 265/75/16s on my truck and there is a nice bare spot on the front crossmember where they rubbed at full lock.

But... wheel adapters by definition are spacers, so if you find a set that work, it might push the wheel out far enough to clear the 315 wide tire.

my friend is keeping the rims so i will have to get the 16 inch 2nd gen rims from the scrapyard

I put 235/75/15s on mine and got that same bare spot.
