Default sorry newbish question please bare with me

Ok i have had my 1995 dodge dakota for awhile i installed a pioneer stereo and wen my buddy and i tried hooking up the ipod adapter the back cab light shut off and the stereo died and so i tried the old stereo that didn't turn on today I'm gunna get a new stereo this week because the other one was old but please any suggestions and if you don't have constructive criticism please dont say anything at all thank you to those who will help out by the way it is a 1995 v6 magnum 3.2L automatic

there is a fuse under the hood in the pdc that probly blew. same thing happened to me

its the "ign draw off" fuse

Hi, I have the same truck for the most part - 1995 Dodge Dakota 4x4 3.9 liter V6 Magnum and actually had the same problem in my truck with a pioneer stereo in fact and it is the fuses under the steering column for sure. Also don't forget to check the fuse behind your stereo itself to make sure it still works and is the proper amperage, your stereo's manual should tell you the proper amp fuse to use on the stereo. Also your trucks manual will show you the proper fuse amp to use in your trucks fuse box.

I just wanted to mention that unless you had a different type of engine put in your truck, your engine should also be a 3.9 liter and not a 3.2 liter. (3.9 liter = 239 cubic inches).

Glad we could help and have fun with this quick fix fuse swap, unfortunately some other problems aren't so easy.

Yea 3.9 I was typing up this thing really quick cuz I had sum stuff to do but yea I dnt hav the owners manual for the truck bought it of some girl for 900 I'll put pix up sometime soon
