Default Front wheel hubs oozing grease

Both of my front wheel hubs are leaking grease. Grease is all over the face of the wheel. I have a 96 4X2 regular cab vehicle. New rotors were installed late last summer, but the truck was not driven much since. Is this easily fixed? Is it related to the new rotors?

Sounds like they may have repacked your hubs with the wrong weight grease when they redid your rotors...something not rated for the heat and now its breaking down and oozing out. It's not that hard to pull the hubs and wheel bearings on a 2WD, replace the bearings and repack them with the right grease. Use whatever the service manual recommends.

It is possible the rear seal is bad. Or the dust cover came off.

Crazy mentioned another possibility. Seals could be weak or worn and not holding the axle/bearing grease.

what color is the grease if you take off you dust cap? just about all of the high temp grease that I know of is Red. if its another color it might possibly be the wrong stuff and just need to be cleaned out and replaced with the correct grease.
