Default 1991 Dakota no Check Engine Light

Hi,
I'm new to the forum. I'm hoping someone can help. I just purchased a 1991 Dakota with a 5.2 and it didn't pass Ohio E-check. I when to check for codes and I don't have a check engine light with the key on. I don't have the owners manual so I'm not sure what light is the check engine. I did pick-up a service manual but it does not show the dash layout. Can someone scan or tell me what light I need to replace/troubleshoot for the check engine light. Fuse 13 is for the check engine light and it's fine. Tuned the truck up and would like to check any codes before returning to have it retested.

Thanks,
Russ

My guess is the 91 will be like the 92-up. The picture below will help, look for the red arrow. Most likely your bulb is dead. Take off the wood trim bezel. Then the gauge cluster. Then replace the bulb in the back.

Default Thanks

Thanks,
I checked that bulb and it's good. Looks like I will have to trace the wire from the computer.
