Obd 12 14 1 37 55
I hope I am posting in the right area! 1996 Dakota 6 cyl 4x4 - VIN 1B7GG23XXTS503767 (In case that helps further identify vehicle/components) I did the ignition "on and off" thing and got the subject sequence - 12, 14, 1, 27, 55 (Well, that "55" looked more like a "56" with the "6" part just staying on, so I guess that is a "55" with a "That's all folks"). All that just came on over the last day. MAP voltage low and Torque converter clutch solenoid CKT or park/neutral switch failure all of a sudden, at the same time, and if so, what the heck do I do now??? Sorry - just kind of freaking out. EXTREMELY tight budget and the other truck is having significant troubles too. Can't lose what income we do have, and a vehicle is a necessary part of that. Any help? Thank-you!
Try resetting the computer and see what codes come back. Then check each circuit for bad wires, connectors ect. If needed replace that part. The FAQ has the service manual that has everything you need to test all of the components.
For a list of codes see below. This is also in the FAQ.

^ +1. Reset the computer and check it in 2-3 days of driving.
And I don't know if this is a typo or not, but all codes are 2 digits, so there is no 1. The 12 and 55 are fine... they should always show up. 12 is accepted to be the "beginning of codes" and 55 is the "end of codes".
Oh, and welcome to DodgeForum!! You are in the right area!

Thank-you folks! I wiggled wires, disconnected the battery and reconnected it, and so far the poltergeist has not returned! Well, I think it lives in the radio. Times it works, times not, times a station blares through the speakers even though the controls do nothing, and so on and so forth - but as long as the idiot thing stays in unnecessary systems, I don't care...
