Default Transmission Dipstick scalding hot?

so how how are transmission dipstick's supposed to be? Mine seems too hot as you grab it (even through the rubber). It doesn't go in/come out very well though, so i'm thinking it might just be the fact that it's making a lot of contact with the filler tube all the way down, increasing heat transfer?

Are your guys dipsticks almost too hot to touch?

After a good long day of driving Yes it is hot to touch. Anything under the hood is just about to hot to touch, even the stuff not on the engine.
