Default Wont Start, no hair left to pull

First time Dakota Owner here, any ideas appreciated. Have a 95 Dakota w V8magnum M.F.I.. approx 160k miles. Truck was "resurrected" from a field in trade for money owed after sitting 2yrs. Anyways, the oem fuel pump died slowly and I changed it. Well about 2 mos later wife driving it, brought it home and went out bout hour or so later and wont start. It cranks and cranks and cranks but nothing. Dumped gas in carb, fired up. Not hearing pump whirring I immediately cursed parts store people and yanked pump out and put new one in. well, it's still dead. No whirr from pump, just cranks and cranks. Replaced relay and nothing... HELP PLEASE

Check the fusible links/splices under the power distribution center (black box) next to the battery.

As tmacdakota said, check the splice under the PDC... see: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ml#post1678925
If that splice is bad, you will get limited, if any, juice to your ASD relay (automatic shutdown relay; gives power to your fuel injectors and ignition coil), as well as the fuel pump relay. (Note: sometimes if the splice is "bad" it can intermittently work)
So, I'd start there.

If that splice is good, or, if you still have the same problems, I'd check to make sure you have good spark, as well as a good supply of fuel (some fuel rails have basically a schrader valve on them, which would make it very easy).
If your still not getting fuel, you might want to shoot power to the pump.
