Red face Dakota belt tensioner assembly

I royally screwed up a normally simple job (replace serpentine belt) when I pushed too hard on the belt tensioner assembly to slacken the belt and sheared off the head of the pulley retainer bolt. Now I need to remove and replace the sheared bolt, which would be a lot easier to do with the assembly off the truck. How do you remove the tensioner assembly?

When in doubt rely on the service manual. You can download it in the FAQ.
There are 3 bolts at the base of the mount.

Crazy, thanks for your response. At first I was embarrassed to post the question but I figured somebody would help me out.

i rounded my bolt off but then i took a pipe and wedged it between the frame and the pulley and pushed while someone took the belt off. did the same thing to put it on except we routed the belt on the tensioner pulley as to not damage the threads(i think is the term). it works really well.

Shadow, what I didn't notice before is that the belt tensioner (mine at least) has a detent that will keep it in the slack position while you remove the belt. Then once you get the belt back on you just give it a quick pull and it snaps back into tension. If I had known that I wouldn't have put so much stress on the bolt head. Live and learn!
