Default Throttle body to carb

would there be ant advantages to switch over to a carberator and if so how would i go on doing this or is it somthing i should just leave alone

You would first need to buy a carbbed intake manifold and a carb. Then you would need to get an ignition control system. Then you would need to get a low pressure fuel system. If you have an automatic, you would have to figure out a way to make overdrive work or just simply forget about using overdrive. I'm sure I'm forgetting something... I did a lot of research on this a while ago but my memory sucks.

The only advantages would be the ability to tune it easily and its the cheapest way to get a really high flow intake on the engine. Honestly though, you'd need a big cam and performance heads before you'd need a high flow intake!!

so there is a lot of work and replacing of parts and adjusting?

you might be able to get the od to still work by forcing it into od. my buddy has to do that with his carberated dodge dart.

but it isn't really worth it because the tuning has to be just right or it won't like to run.
