ok so I went out and got a new deck and a wiring harness from best buy, got home and took the old radio out hooked up the wires as shown and tested it out all worked fine. I went to put the deck in the hole and it stopped working and the dome light went off?????
took it all back out and found that if i touch the red and yellow wire together dome light and radio work but only with the truck on????
I checked all the fuses and they look good, what would cause this? very strange.

 

nevermind....fixed it ign draw fuse blew under hood
