Default What rpm do you shift at?

I recently swapped in an nv3500 transmission. At first I was shifting around 2000 rpm but it was difficult to get a smooth shift. My fuel mileage with the swap has jumped from 17ish to 18ish on my normal driving cycle. This tank I started shifting between 2500 and 3000 and it is much easier to shift smoothly and it also appears that I am getting better mileage. Won't know for sure until I fill up, probably tomorrow. Anyways I'm just throwing this out there to see what everyone else says.

when i'm driving hard on it i shift about 2500-3k rpms and when i am trying to save gas i shift at about 1600 rpms. i'm still careful though because i had taken off to beat someone around the corner to the gas station the other day and my tranny torqued and broke all the screws for the rubber boot around the shifter.
