1991 dodge dakota stalls when in gear
hello i have a 1991 dodge dakota that on occasion will stall when shifted into Drive, Reverse, or any other gear besides Neutral or Park if it stalls its usally after 30 to 60 seconds of idleing not srue what RPMs the engine idles at when its in gear due to the nonfuctioning tac but it seems when its shifted into a drive gear that the RPMs drop very low causing it to stall so if there is a way to adjust the idle speed or if something is faulty please let me know Thanks
I had that question, when I saw Crazy's info, and found a video on youtube called "Idle Air Control Motor Testing & Replacing" that shows what an IAC motor is and how to test it.
Hope that helps make Crazy4x4rt's diagnosis a bit clearer.
