Im leaving...
I wouldnt even say they have nice bodies.... If you look at any of the new ones, the wheel wells are cut so fricken high, it makes the entire truck look stupid...
CHEVROLET = Cheap Hardly Effecient Vehicle Running On Luck Every Time...
Lol.....
BUT, I will say, my dad has a 2004 Silverado, single cab, short box, 4wd, and its got almost 250,xxx miles on it, and its only been in the shop one time....timing chain/cover and 1 clutch....
I am still hard on for Mopar tho....They have some of the sexiest cars & trucks!

But thats not the case, because they highten the arch, but the distance between the front of the fender and rear of the fender still is standard size limiting your tire size to what you normally would have been able to use...
got a relative with a canyon. first thing i did was look underneath at the suspension and the first thing i spied was those flimsy rods and bushings that attach the front sway bar to the frame just like the caravans have. great for getting the kids smoothly to football practice but i wonder how much off-road abuse they'll take, my aunt had problems with them in her caravan and never left the pavement.
I hate to break it to you guys but the dakota has always been considered by most consumers as the mopar version of the s-10/ranger platform...the only difference being dodge offered a bigger beefier powertrain and a bit stronger frame? they still were never 1/2 ton full size pickups...werent they even made sold as mazda's at one time?...or was it the other way around?...just saying.

Dodge had the Ram50 which was NOT a Dakota and was a compact. That may be what Mazda used. As far as I know it was made by Dodge.
Most places will considered it a 1/4 ton. But in all truth it is a 1/2 ton. Same exact engine/transmission that is in the 1/2 Rams. Well 1st Gen anyways.
But to say the truth I don't care what they do with the Dakota. I'm not going to buy those ugly new body styles. And I don't believe they will have the V8 anymore, but I don't pay attention to it so I don't know.
