not shifting right

Default not shifting right

ok so i had to change my pcm and crank shaft sensor the oem number didn't match but it come out of a truck that was the same v-8 auto 4x4. the truck starts and runs good but now it won't shift into 3rd. when it does it shifts hard. can this be adjusted.

First, What year is your truck? What year was the new PCM from?

i have a 95 and the part came from a 94 both were v8 4x4 auto it started right up run better then ever no miss or anything it shifts from first to second right away but 3 is at 35 or 40 mph never done this before

The transmission is hydraulically controlled not electronic. The only thing that is electronic is the OD and TCC. But that is it. So the computer swap would not affect the transmission shifts.

The TV cable does effect the shifts. To adjust it correctly check the FAQ for a write up with pics.

Also low or dirty or burnt fluid can cause that too.

Default im in a similar situation

my truck doesnt shift until im going 35 mph, the problem with my truck is that it is not getting enough oxygen, is it carborated?

thanks i thought it was electric because it worked fine before the computer went out it sat for 3 weeks while i fixed it and now it shifts hard or not at all ill have to look at the cables and see if something wrong
