Default Hyperboost O2 module?

I was just lookin at performance chips for a friends diesel when I came across this - http://www.engineperformancechip.com...nce-module-p-7
It would supposably work on my v6 dakota but what exactly is it and does it actually do something or is it just a piece of fancy lookin wire that does nothing?

First look at it looks like one of the Ebay specials. Where it is a resistor or something similar. I wouldn't buy it.

all they do is lie to the pcm about how much oxygen there is in the exhaust. it's really useless and they do shorted the life of you're converter if they fail. i've also seen them cause spark knocks if you use 87 in it. and also i should mention that when you floor it you into open loop anyway and then the pcm runs on a preset "safe" fuel curve and ignores the o2 sensors.
