Default Bought some tires, hope they fit

Went to the scrap yard to day (payday) bored so i looked for some tires and found some off a old 80's jeep. The only thing is, I have a 2wd 1991 v8 and these tires are 30x9.5x15's. I talked to some people there and they said their pretty close to 235/75/r15's so I bought them. Now my question is, will those fit on the rear without rubbing (stock rims)? and will my back tires (225/75/r15) fit in the front without rubbing? Thanks in advance

That might be a bit much for a 2wd. On my 95 I had some rubbing going on when I tried 235, 225 was OK, tho.

More importantly, I hope you know how to read the date code on tires...
Old tires can look good, and be unsafe.

Usually on the inside next to the rim, there are some letters and numbers.
If the last "space" has 3 numbers, they were made in the 90's, as in 248, the tires were made the 24th week of 1998.
IF the space has 4 numbers, they were made in the current decade.
So, IIRC, 2408 will be 24th week of 2008...

i have 225's on the front of my truck and 235's on the back of my truck...the do just fine they way they are. but like bill55az says check the date on the side...my rear tires are 7 and 8yrs old and they've been on since last november and they are starting to show signs of dryrot. its only a matter of time before they come apart.

I have 235s all the way around on my 2wd. There is evidence of slight rubbing in one front wheel well but nothing that concerns me. Its very minor.

Well, they fit, no rubbing as far as I can tell. I do need to go get them balanced though, the rims they came off of had weights. I can feel some vib. that wasnt there before. I also replaced my shocks finally, and after that I drove it, and did the tires (trashed the front, bald tires. moved the back, good AT tires to the front and threw these on the back). So tomorrow imma go get all 4 balanced...oh fun $$
