Default new problems

hello fellas, i am having some new problems and a old one is still rearing its ugly head. this is a TBI 360 in a 89 Dakota btw

first off i am getting a miss in the motor, you can hear, feel and some times see it when it happens. its random everywhere in the rpm range. sometimes it will do it sometimes it wont. I am a newb when it comes to fuel injection. not a clue about it. So where should i start looking? my instincts tell me to change the spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor and ignition modual (is there is one). but i dont know what year the motor is so going to the parts store and getting parts might be a problem. any ideas?

the next problem is the transmission waits way too long to shift. once again iam not sure of the transmission or how it knows to ****, i would assume its a TV cable.

I am still having a cooling problem. when i bought it it had dual electric fans but only one was working. i got the other fan working but its goes to overheat when you sit at idle. as long as your moving it is 3/4 of the way on the guage. I am thinking it doesnt have enough radiator to do the job.

the other odd thing i noticed is the fans are mounted on the a/c condenser between the condenser and the rad. kinda odd to me because the cond. is getting the full force of the fans while the rad is just getting the exhaust. I am thinking of reversing the fans to mount on the rad and push and then put another single fan infront of the cond to push. that would be 3 fans should be plently of airflow.

ive been told to put the shelby 312 rad on it but when i look it up on oreillys website the part number for the shelby rad and the v6 rad are the same, so that wouldnt do me any good. the is also a 2 core rad but it doesnt have the same mounting tabs (atleast in the pictures) as the single core.

Yes that would be the best thing to do.

But first you would want to check if your injectors are spraying correctly. TBI you can see the injectors as they spray, and visually inspect under the hood.

Yes the TV cable would be a good place to start for shifting problems. As well as check your fluid. If it is low dirty burnt, that all could be the problem.

The coolant problem may be the radiator like we said. Or low or the incorrect mixture of fluid. Or a bad thermostat or a bad pump.

Yes I bet that is your problem. It is best to set it up as a pusher at the radiator if you don't have room infront of your motor.

A radiator from a 92-95 V8 dakota is a direct bolt-in replacement and somewhat larger.
