Shock Installation
I just put new shocks (front and back) on my truck last weekend.
I did a search and found a thread on the subject that helped me a lot.

Lift and support the front end. Remove the wheels for full access to the shocks.
The rest is pretty much common sense. The only thing you really have to watch out for is the lower bolts that go into the lower control arms. If they are really rusted in, you should use heat to remove them. Heat the control arm, not the bolt. If they snap, you are screwed. You will have two options then, remove the control arms and have the holes drilled out or, replace the control arms. Both of these options suck, so it pays to take your time and make sure you don't snap the bolts. I only say this because I didn't and had to replace both my lower control arms. Learn from my mistake.
Another tip, when you replace the lower bolts, coat them with never-seize, that will help keep some of the corrosion and rust out for the next time they need to come out.
Hope that helps!

Yes drive it up on the ramps. The shocks have to fall toward the ground. And if you don't have any room down there, you're not getting them out.
i am going to send the truck into a family friends shop because i did not want to do anymore damage. snapped the top bolt and didnt want to do the same to the bottom. Its gonna cost me 60 bucks but considering if they brake the bolt they know how to drill it out, i dont, and if i had to take to some of the chain shops like midas it would cost me around 210 for them to do it. Im issed i couldnt do it but its gonna get done right
