Default 46rh vs 47rh

Could a 47rh be used behind a 360 in my 92 dakota without increasing the complexity of the swap?

In doing some searching and reading it looks like the 47rh uses a 4rh housing and beefier parts. Means it should bolt up right?

As far as I know looks like there are good similarities. But I don't believe anyone will know here. Check with the 2nd Gen Rams. If you do find out let me know.

Here is a good link on it. http://www.allpar.com/mopar/transmissions/47RH.html

Yup, nope it won't bolt up. That was what I was afraid of. It was really just a good deal on a low mileage tranny, but I should be able to find a 46rh around here in my budget sooner or later. It is the "budget" that is the key part.
