hey i checked my codes last night i am alos getting a 15, i have 1992 Dakota 4x4 3.9 5 speed, what issues if any would this code cause? the only real issue i am having right now is every now and then if i am pullin up to a stop sign she will stall, but if when rolling to a stop sign i just give it a little pump of gas it idles just fine, was thinking this could be Catalytic converter as i know it is shot it rattles pretty bad, or possibly in need of fuel filter or Idle air control Valve. Any thoughts?
IAC is one possibility for the stall at idle.
15** No vehicle speed sensor signal
The code is very self explanatory. The Speed sensor is bad or wires or connectors to the sensor is bad.
Also don't be scared to start a new post, instead of using an old one.

I read something today cant remember if it was on this forum or another but it said the computer links the control of IAC throught the vehicle speed sensor? Any thoughts on that? My truck is not equiped with cruise control so im not sure what other way to test the vheicle speed control sensor, and thinking if the above is true it could be the speed sensor is bad and therefore not causeing the IAC to function properly. Also i do not think it is Catalytic converter but thinking of removing anyway and putting in a straight pipe, reason being it rattles pretty bad makes me think it is shot, not sure if that can cause too much back pressure therefore causing the stall? Yeah next time i will after i responded to this one i realized it was a very old post but on the same topic.
