hello all i have a big problem that i need to fix asap snow is on the way soon the problem i have is like 3 weeks ago i had to have my truck towed it is a 96 dakota 3.9 4x4 here is the good parts the truck was in reverse being towed going forward it sliped out of N i dont know how it happend but it did now my qustion is what did i screw up by doing this. when i drive the truck something feels tight i have looked in the rear end nothing seems broke or out of shape can you guys and gals plz help me thx bobby

 

It could be anything. Maybe transmission transfercase. Who knows. Tons of possibilities.

 

what do you mean by "feels tight?

when it was towed, were front wheels up and on the hook or back wheels up?

 

all 4 wheels wher on the grund and the tight is when i take off

 

You're not supposed to tow 4WD vehicles on the ground, right? lol

 

4wd is Okay to tow with a 4 on the ground. Just shift the transfercase into neutral. That is why you will mostly see RV's towing Jeeps or any 4wd.

 

what happens if you tow 4x4 with only 2 wheels on the ground?
