Good Morning
New to the site ... new to Dodge. I just bought a 1995 Dakota yesterday. 4WD with 65k on the clock. Truck runs good and everything works but the gas gauge. I'm sure that I can find the answer for that here.
I'm a computer tech for the local school district but my favorite job is being a Grandfather. Thanks for letting me in here. First off ... can anyone recommend a good manual for the truck?
Thanks .... Len

Welcome to the forums
in the faq there is a free downloadable version of the factory service manual for our trucks. i have a haynes manual for my old truck(sadly gas prices got the best of her as did my tiny paycheck...lol) and some places sell chilton manuals(imo they are more in-depth than a haynes manual but the fsm really beats all).
as for the gauge it could be anything from as the float on the side of the pump to the gauge itself. i had the same issue with mine and found that the float itself was breaking contact. which required lifting the bed off(easier for my to do myself in my opinion but you can drop the tank if you want) and removing the float from the pump to fix it.
heres the link to my repair on the issue. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...uel-gauge.html
but if this is no there is more info in the faq section too.
here is the link to the faq. which is on the previous page near the top of the page.

hope this helps.
