I cannot figure out how to get this off!!! i removed the 2 bolts underneath and it looks like it should come off, half of it does but i dont want to try pulling to hard and break it. am i missing something or do i just have to pull with some tough love? it has tilt steering wheel etc. 1991 if that makes a diff. and if anyone knows what color the cruise control wires are for the steering wheel that would be great lol, wanna hook the on/off to my fog lights and the other 2 to my horns and siren

The FAQ has a wiring diagram for a 91. There are 3 screws. The two in front, and 1 more just above the pannel under the dash, right where the rubber seal is.

I think it's cool that you are going to integrate your lights and such into the steering wheel. I assume you're saying you will use the cruise control buttons to control your peripherals? Cool idea. Does your cruise control not work? jw. Dig it

It is called a clock spring. It is a a coiled wire wrapped around it self, so as you turn it coils and uncoils. It is in between the steering wheel mounting plate and the steering column.

i tired running my foglights to my o/d switch after teh trans swap but the button doesn't work like that. it can ,however, be used as a horn button or something of that nature.
