Default 94 Dakota code 27

My 94 dakota 318 4x4 had check engine light on, drove to the gas station shut the truck off went inside came back turned it on, no engine light? I checked the codes, and want to know if there is a specific reason code 27 flashes twice? starts as 12, normal, then 2 27's, and the finishing 55. I know what the codes are, just curious about the 27 flashing twice. Thanks

How was the engine? Has it been missing, shaking? Code 27* Injector control circuit failure.

Maybe 2 injectors failed, which would cause a miss. You would fell it shaking bad.

If you get a code reader/scanner it can tell you which injectors were acting up. Autozone can do it for free, as well as others.

If the engine is running fine, try resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery for a min. Then see if the code comes back up.

The engine seems to run just fine, no miss or shaking. I didnt even think to reset it, I will try that today. I didnt realize i could use a code reader/scanner on a 94.
