Response tuneup?
ok so right now im throwing a code for EGR valve and o2 sensor...
so when im at the store buying them i wanna go ahead and buy any other sensors that would effect air/fuel ratio, response and power....
what else should i buy? all sensors r stock 17yr old...
oh and whats the recommended spark plugs(performance) and gap on them???

So...how does it run right now? If you're gonna spring for an EGR, do that and both temp sensors, IAC and MAP sensors. Then do new plugs (can't remember the recommended plug or gap but auto store sites will show you), wires, dist. cap and rotor, and air filter. Then I'd run some high octane Chevron/Techron or Shell gas + sea foam through a tank or two. I pulled and cleaned my EGR, IAC and did all the rest mentioned and my 93 4X4 LE with 318 V-8 and auto tranny runs like a charm with 182K+ miles on the odometer. Gets close to 20 mph down the road at 68 mph on regular unleaded and about 15 mph in city driving. The gas gauge and cruise don't work, but who needs those anyway?
The coolant temp sensor is best as well to replace. But I would say tune up stuff would be more helpful. Like plugs wires cap and rotor oil and filter fuel filter, all fluids would be good too.
For plugs Autolites 3923 ask for part number. It is not listed in the computer for our truck but it is best.
