I just finished installing my water pump on my 2.5L 1992, and I'd like to say that the rubber pump-manifold gasket which came with my new pump was utter garbage. It was impossible to align, and when I went back to reposition it, somehow it had cracked like hard plastic and totally disintegrated. I guess it had gotten really cold, or sat for years on a shelf or something. Anyways I keep a motorcycle inner tube around for this purpose, cut myself a replacement, slapped some blue goo on there and we are good to go.

Good fix. I hope it holds under the heat. They do make sheets of gasket material, so you can make your own. I use that every now and then.
