Default 93 dakota problem

hey
Ive had my Dakota for a few years now and never really had a problem with it
now i have what i think is a strange one, a few weeks ago it started stalling after it sat for a few days, and if you shut it off for a few hours and restarted it it would be ok and not stall as often, if ever
so i started with fuel pressure it maintains around 30 psi and when your on the throttle it goes to 40 and drops to about 25 when u let off the throttle, seemed low to me but when i got it to stall the pressure stayed at 30, so the fuel pump should be good
next i moved to the coil, when it stalls the coil got really speratic, so installed one from a jeep that i had on the shelf and it acted the same, so i figure that the pickup coil was to blame , i bought one the next day and when i took the dizzy cap off i found that the seal in the dizzy had blown and was filling the dizzy with il, so i got another dizzy from the junk yard and installed it with the new pick up coil, it only stalled twice after i installed the dizzy which i guess would be it attempting to time itself being that there is no adjusting the timing on this motor according to all-data
today i made it to a buddies shop and put a solus computer on it and found that the computer was staying in open loop mode, even though the temp was above 180 degrees.
the only other things that i saw on the screen was an idle something that read -80 and the baro was at 100
anybody have any ideas what i should do, i really dont know much about how to fix a dodge, or how the computer in these work
thanks for any help or advice that u have

When it stalls does it just die or bogg down then die? Does it start right up? If you hold you foot on the gas right before it dies does it help? Give more details! It literally can be a Hundred things.

One common problem is the Notorious splices. Check the FAQ for full details on it.

it normally just dies, giving it gas as it dies didnt seem to help, but like i said i think the stalling is done now being that i replaced the diazzy and pickup coil and it only stalled twice after that as i took it around the block and it hasnt done it since, the closest that it seems to get to stalling now is when you try to take off there is now power for a split second and then it goes. it also decides that it wants to run rough at this light but runs smooth at the light like it keeps changing its timing
when it was staling it would just start right back up like it didnt have an issue
ill look in the faq when i get home today and see what it is about the splices
thanks

i think what would really help me to figure this out is if someone could explain to me what the computer is looking for to be able to go to closed loop operation
thanks
