So Today I was replacing my Crank Position Sensor and had to remove some parts out the way. Anyhow there is a sensor next to the distributor cap its the only one tats right next to it and the EGR, well I accidently leaned on it to hard and broke it right off. I need to go get another but I have not idea what i broke. Can anyone on here give me some direction on where to go or what the hell it is called so I can go buy one.
I could use some help.

most likely it was oil pressure sending unit. was it a tall plastic cylinder about 2" - 3" tall? and did it have a 2 wire connector connected to it?
a pic would help too with some info about the truck

 

the oil press sensor is the only sensor that would be there. i think they are about twenty bucks. you need to fix that before you drive it incase the lil diaphram inside it ruptures and it shoots oil out. would be an awfull mess. (shudders remembering a customers car)

 

i did that once. i broke the plastic piece off and while i was driving to work the next day the thing broke and i left everyone in a thick cloud of smoke...

 

That was you? I was wondering who that was, I couldn't read the tag so I just pulled over for 15 minutes to let the smoke clear.

 

lol i left everyone at the light...they waited for 5minutes before going down the road(2 light rounds)...lol that was the first time i had it towed.
