Default Mechanical or electrical?

For the last couple of days, every once in a while my idle will be at 900 or 1100 rpm, sometimes when coming to a stop light on my way to/from work, sometimes when getting off the freeway. Doesn't maater if the truck is hot or cold. If I rev it up, it seems to idle down. Any ideas?

The IAC is problematic on the Magnums. It is possible it is like that to on LA's. If so it would be an mechanical issue. You can test you wires for good continuity from the computer to the IAC plug to rule out an electrical problem.

Thanks for the reply,I will check it out. Normally it purrs like a kitten, so it drives me nuts if something is off just a little.

Well, I had my Dakota checked at my buddies shop while I was in town. Tuns out the idle air control valve was sticking open a little. I replaced it tonight after work. Back to normal. Almost can't hear or feel it idle
