Engine break in procedure?
I am also curious, I have read a couple different procedures on engine break in, what do some of you use when breaking in a new motor?

when i did the break in for my cousins suby, i drove the car at different speeds for 500miles before i changed the oil back to synthetic and drove it another 1k miles at different speeds and changed all the fluids. then we took it back the shop that built the motor and they ok'd it for normal driving. he blew his motor on the 1/4 mile when it leaned out and blew a hole in the piston. needless to say, he still ran 13seconds flat on 3 cylinders. from what i heard the newer cars are already broke in from the factory.
not sure if you can view this or not but this is the video of the 13 sec he ran with the blown motor.

after that he had it towed home and pulled the motor.

LOL! I never did a true engine brake in. After rebuilds ect. I let it idle and low to mid RPMs till it runs smooth. Then let up warm up fully, and good to go with very light throttle for the next week or so.
