1996 Dakota-318..... Deer hunting in West Texas. Stopped in cafe for meal. Truck has been running perfectly. Cam out of cafe, truck won't start. Engine turns over normal. Squirted some starting fluid in air intake,,, nothing. Fuse , maybe? Any suggestions? No shops or mechanical help in this area. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Check the rotor in the distributor cap and see if it turns when you turn the key. If not the timing chain broke.
