Default intake plenum repair

just picked up a felpro kit and the plenum pan gasket has a blue rubber like strip in the middle. My question is should I use a high temp rtv to assist in a seal?

I love these new plenum gaskets, with an O-Ring like seal on it. To bad it is not continues. I say mostly of stuff with a good seal no the extra RTV is not needed. But on the notorious plenum I would do a good thin layer to be on the safe side. But keep it thin, if to thick the excess can get into the engine when you don't want it to.

Here is a similar picture. I know its small, the O-Ring like silicone/RTV is orange.
