Default Dead spot on acceleration

Hello all,
I have a 96 dak, with 206k on her,3.9L with an AT and a towing package.

anyway, when I accelerate on the freeway, there is a dead spot when I hit the throttle, and then finally it gives a little juice and the trani shifts down, and its good. but there is the dead spot and it makes it run doggy.

The truck is white if that makes a difference.
thanks in advance
P

Maybe a bad TPS Throttle Position Sensor or the Transmission TV Throttle Valve cable needs to be adjusted. Check the FAQ for a link on how to adjust.

Is there any codes? I would check the codes first. If the tps is faulty it should have a code.

Thanks Crazy and Dave,
I am going to investigate the cable adjustment, although it is fine at low speeds.
There are no codes, and I have a new TPS in.

I also just had my fuel injectors cleaned and its a little better, but I can still feel the doggyness and the dead spot.

I will keep you posted, thanks
