Default New Dakota owner.

I just bought my 95 Dakota std cab short bed, v6/5spd, 4wd today and I can really say I enjoy it already.
Just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself. I am not new to mopars, I've got a few, and actually sold my 91 Plymouth Acclaim to buy this truck. My other mopars are my all original 1 owner 72 Satellite wagon and my dad's 1 owner 60 Plymouth Savoy (My grandpa bought them both new).
I'm looking forward to the fun and utility of this truck. Already have plans to add a hitch, 2 new bumpers (probably custom) along with a brush guard. It's currently on 31's, that may change in the future though, as would the height.
Was just wondering if anyone has any specs on this truck. Like what kind of power the 3.9 puts out, what trans it has (its a 5spd) and how strong it is, and what axles it has (they're 6 lug) and how strong they are.

Thanks, and I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Cool sounds like you have a good plan. Post up pics.

For specs check the FAQ just a few posts above this one, it will have all the info you want and more, HP and TQ ratings as well as transmissions ect.

For modifications like lifts performance check out the FAQ2 everything you wanted to know on modifications are there.

I was just wondering what kind of mileage to expect? I've calculated ~14mpg so far between the previous owner and me (~2 tanks of fuel) 90% in town driving. I will admit I did drive with a heavy foot for a little bit, as I was trying to see what I've got. Hoping that will get better. Is ~18mpg unheard of in town, I'd like to get that?
