never done it with a 2x4 but it cant be all that hard the only thing your gonna have fun with is the drive shafts are going to have to be changed for the transfer case. and matching pinion angles the front shaft has a constent volicity joint in it so being off a little isnt complete end of the world. but there read shaft has to be spot on, on both axis. also need to make sure that the cross distance to the shaft is equal from the stock locaton to the chevy shaft location.
