need some help again.....
ok so if i have a 87 318 v8 la engine and a 91 318 v8 magnum with the top end of the 87 fit on the 91. which would make it so the engine is carb insted of f i.
please let me know i think it would but are the bollt patterns the same.
i was just wondering because the motor mounts are not the same on the la as the magnum.

The 91 is not a Magnum. Magnums started in 92 and came with Multiport injection. The 91 was still an LA just with a little more performance than previous LA's and with throttle body injection.
So to answer your question in your case it would be an easy swap. But if it is a Magnum and you got your years wrong then it won't work as easily. You will need to buy a Carb specific intake for the magnum. And the Magnums came with the LA's mounts the LA's have the bosses for the Magnum, some have it drilled and taped some just have a boss.

If the intake bolts are perpendicular to the head, then yes. You may need to look into the rocker geometry, and buy new pushrods, etc. The intake will accept a carb, but the throttle linkage end will need a modification for said carb. Also, there are some electrical issues that may need sorting out. Confirm if you have an actual magnum style engine.
Sure no problem Logan. I have a cousin named Logen. I guess they wanted to spell it different. My name is Felipe.
