Default cv joint binding after truck raised

Ok, so a while ago i cranked up the torsion bars to fit 31" tires, i did not go all the way and still have about a half inch before on the bump stops, but want to go all the way as i still have slight rubbing.

Now my problem was at first in 4wd while turning there was a clunking sort of binding sound and click/clunk kind of sounds going straight when pulling.
Recently its been getting worse and makes all sorts of nasty sounds while turning in 2wd.

Now im thinking possible the the cv's are on there way out and the lift speeded things up and made it noticeable. Am i on the right page here? I looked at the boots and they appear to be in good condition.

And second question, is there aftermarket cv's that allow/handle the extreme angles i have created on them better? Or do i just replace with OEM and hope they get rid of the sounds and last a decent amount of time.

thanks

You're likely right. The cvs were probably worn out already. Just replace them with OEM and they should last a while. I had my torsion bars cranked past the bump stops for about a year before one of my original cvs gave out.
