Default 94 Dakota Help

Besides this truck being a complete nightmare... She is a 94 Dakota with a 3.9L V6 Magnum 4x4.

I have replaced crank sensor, mass air flow, TPS, fuel/ air sensor, distributor cap, rotor button, plugs and wires. Swapped out computers and coil with an identical truck. Checked the ASD wires and relays...

This truck will not stay running. She will idle for a few minutes and shut off. When she shuts off there is no fuel or fire going to the motor. Even if I can get her out of the driveway while driving she will shut herself off no fuel or fire.

Doubled checked the crank sensor today and the new one that was put in came out in 2 pieces....

Was able to borrow an OBD and can't find where it plugs into the truck...

Does any body have any idea what could be going on????

Fuel pump leak for the fuel system, or failing fuel pump?
CPS for the ignition, since the other one is obviously broken.

Nothing wrong with the fuel system... that was my first thought....

Where is the ASD sensor located on the truck? (if there is a rear end collision or roll over the computer with shut it down) and where does an OBD plug into... can't find no ports for that at all.

Will be getting a new CPS first thing in the morning....

Thanks for the response!!!

There is no ASD sensor or an emergency fuel cut off swtich.

I would guess the Notorious splice. There are 3 of them. That is why you have no power to the fuel pump relay or the ASD relay.

Download the FSM in the sticky section. There is a chapter with all the splice locations.

Thanks I will check that out.

Was able to get a reading from an OBD1 and the egr, crank sensor, and a/c clutch codes came up. Replaced the crank again and the truck ran fine til this morning. Drove 18kms and she shut off again....

Got another OBD1 reading and the egr came up. Took it out and one of the metal connectors inside the plug was broken. and the inside seal was apart and pretty well gone...

Hopefully replacing the egr will solve the problems!!

Thanks for your help!!!!
