Default Foam On Auto Transmission Dipstick

I have a 92 Dakota- 3.9 Liter MAgnum V6. Auto Transmission- 213,000 miles

I noticed that when moving in auto 1st gear, its taking a bit more gas to get going.

I'm at about 27,000 miles on a synthetic trans oil change.

The dipstick has small bubbles on it. I can't view the level of fluid because its all over the stick, when checking in neutral, running.

Since I have never had this problem and its been awhile on the oil change, I'm thinking its low on fluid rather than overfilled.

Should I add some fluid ?

Yes it is probably low or overfilled.

if it's overfilled, it's aerated, make sure you vent isn't plugged too.

i've seen a time or two when the filter would split and cause this prob. if you can't get it to go away and the fluid level appears to be correct then pull the pan and stick a new filter and filter seal in it. either one has been known to cause that. if it still does this and the fluid is right then you most likely have a blown seal.
