Question about Tire Sizes
I'm fully aware about Tire sizes being addressed in the FAQ but my question isn't answered there.
Now I'm slightly **** about my gas mileage even though I drive a V8 lol. I'd really like to get some bigger tires on my truck since those 235/75/15s leave a bit to be desired on my stock rims.
I was up until recently under the impression that bigger tires=Worse Fuel mileage. But I was recently told by a few people who know alot more them me about trucks that its actually fat tires make the mileage worse. And that "Tall and Skinny" was the way to go.
Is there any truth to that?
I'm pretty inexperienced in the whole auto thing. My experience is limited to the Harleys I work daily with lol.

In theory up to a point taller tires may help a bit due to getting the RPM's lower at higher speeds. But an argument to that is the taller the vehicle is the less aerodynamic it is, the more weight the vehicle carries, ect.
All together I would say it is not worth it. The only TRUE was to save MPG is keep the RPM's low, other than that get a 4cly car.
