So heres a good story for you guys.
I left work early today to make it to napa 5min before they close so I can pick up some starter contacts for my 93 kota. I'm racing down as fast as I can cause its 10min before they close when I leave work. I make it just in time and I pull into the parking lot. Their parking lot has a rather large bump on its entrance. I park and get out of my truck, and I see fluid all along the side of my truck. I think to myself "Holy crap someone sprung a leak lol" Thats about when it dawned on me that it was my leak.

Antifreeze is pouring down the parking lot from my truck. I'm frantic since I'm still learning all this stuff I don't know wtf to think. Luckily the manager at napa was a little car savy and helped me figure out that the Drain plug of my rad was broken. From the looks of it had been broken for a long time but that pump finally jarred it loose. Course right now I have alot of things I'd like to say to the "Mechanic" who sold me my truck.

Now the funny part. I've got my old man coming down to help me out since I have no tools with me at the time. So as it turned out Napa did not have a replacement drain plug for me. So I went across the street to Lordco, and they don't have it either....Luckily one of their other stores up town did. So the truck is now sitting at my house safe with a McGuivered drain plug which once the engine cools will be properely fixed since a piece of the old one is still in there lol.

Just thought I'd share that with you guys :P

Damn that sucks! At least you don't need a new radiator.

Lucky that you were able to get the truck home. You would think Napa would have had that drain plug. Good luck.

Yea I was surprised to that I made it home without blowing the drain plug again with the way we had to rig it.

And hilariously enough Napa had every plug but the one for my truck lol.

The trucks fixed now though just gotta get my rad fluid back to proper levels lol

My petcock did the same a couple weeks ago. Turns out the thread pattern is some wonky size and no one has. Ended up getting it from a radiator dealer
