Default "New" dakota in the house

My son just picked up a 95 SLT 4x4 extended cab dakota in AZ, got it from a retired Army guy.
Took it straight to DMV where it passed emissions fine and dandy.
It will be his new daily driver....and he will be selling his much newer Ford truck. Money is tight and teachers have been hit hard in the pay department the last 2 years.
The previous owner had a good repair/maintenance log book, showing new ball joints and brakes all around in the last year or so, plus all the usual things that need to get done periodically.
Except for a bit of tranny fluid leaking, possibly front seal, and clicking noises from the CV joints, it is about as good as you can find, considering the year.
Miles is just under 100K, interior looks like new, paint is a bit faded in spots. No bed liner, and the bed looks like he rarely hauled anything...got it for $3500....
