The hunt for a Bush Guard
Can't wait to see lol.
Now that I've got mine mounted sort of I tore it off actually since one part of it was pretty much touching my bumper and I didn't want that. Gonna rebuild the faulty bracket that was holding it on and do some cutting to the bar itself to make it fit the truck alot better.
AKA Make it thinner and more form fitting to the truck.

Not a clue what truck it was originally from.
I'm not really to fond of how big it is on the truck so I plan on thinning it out a bit so I can mount it better and have it the kota a bit nicer

I've been debating on whether i should make a "hoop" that would go all the way up and around the top of all the lights of if i should just make a bar to put the lights on...either way is fairly easy one requires 2 bends in tubing and welding the other just requires welding.
Either way im sure i'll be happy with the result.

well i havent gotten far on my light/bull bar lately but over the weekend i did manage to get the switch situated and almost wired up. just need another relay and all my wiring will be pretty much done besides hooking up lights
Here is a pic of the switch. its an old headlight switch. Ill be using the park and headlight part of it only for the two sets of lights. It is above the stock headlight switch where the compartment(std) or o/d off switch(auto) is. I forgot to take a picture of it in my truck. It's ok, sticks out a bit farther then the stock one below it but i didnt want to deal with recessing it. lol

Ive gotta figure out how im going to do the wiring because i bought headlight shells for something like a dunebuggy/sandrail and the bolt that holds the light is hollow so that the wires can go through it...only problem with that is that i cant run the wires for the hid's up through there cuz its too small
I was trying to look for a way to wire it without having to drill a hole in the back of the light and then filling it with stuff so it doesnt leak but it looks like thats going to be my only option

I'm sorry for the delay but i was busy the entire weekend and haven't had much time to get on the computer at home and upload pics.
With that said the bar is painted and is getting mounted today, the first set of lights will go on when i get the chance and the other set when i get the relay i need.
I will get the pics up soon, atleast i'll try to

Well I've decided. I'm gonna (re)start this project sometime very soon(AKA when I find some cardboard lol)
Gonna pick up some cardboard or something to cut out a dumby bush bar that is a replica of the one I have. Then cut it up a bit to finally get the bush bar looking how I want.
After all thats done I'm going to figure out how I'm going to mount it and then take the actual bar to a welder and have it cut to what I want.
Mount, and enjoy!
