Question Base timing for 92 w/3.9

I tried searching for the base timing but i got a lot of unrelated threads so I figured I'd just ask. Also, what is the firing order for this engine? Thanks

Timing on Magnum engines cannot be set, it's computer controlled.

Correct, just get the rotor even with the #1 mark on the distributor with the engine on TDC. This pic is in the FAQ.

and if you wanted to try to get it perfect (doesn't matter as long as it runs right. they set the light if your out to far) you have to have the drb III or another good scanner to set the cam synch signal.

crazy i just had an idea. woulde be pretty easy to see how worn a timing chain is with this. and to check to see if you jumped a tooth.
if you set it up like this then go in and look at the synch sig that would tell you how many degrees off the cam is from the crank. hmmmmmmm. well that's assuming someone hasn't messed with it before.

awesome, thanks. just got the truck not too long ago and it sounds like the timing is off or the PO messed up the firing order.
