Error code 32
Hello all. Just looking for things to be looking for on an error code 32. Here is what I have noticed and done so far.
I havnt been running the dakota much of late, its probably sat for two months. A few weeks ago I used it as a gopher to get a part for my ram when it started acting like it wasnt getting much fuel. I have already replaced the fuel pump so I was praying it wasnt that and right about then it came out of it and I didnt think much of it since. Last week I was driving through town again and it suddenly dies on me in an intersection! It started right back up but again, acting like it wasnt getting enough fuel. *NO CEL AT THIS TIME* So I put the original PCM, TPS, MAP sensor and IAC valve back on and drove it around and I got the same problem. So I was then thinking bad fuel filter. I tapped on the fuel filter a few times with my knuckles and it ran perfect for the last two days. Today I noticed the jerky action again this morning and while driving to work from lunch I get a CEL. CEL is a 32. While I had the intake off last summer installing the new hughes plenum I took the EGR off and cleaned it up. I punched the guts out of the cat two summers ago and installed a new O2 sensor as well. Any other suggestions on what I should look for?

The FAQ has a CEL list in it.

Code 32 is "32** EGR Solenoid circuit short or open condition detected"
I would at least start by checking that everything is tight and put on properly.

I double checked all lines and made sure connections were secure. It hasn't acted up since the day it threw the code. I will take the egr out and see what it looks like when it cools down.
